Funeral for Clifton Hensley, 81, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Charles Sparks and Larry Culp officiating.
Burial with military honors was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Hensley died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at his residence. He was born Dec. 10, 1927, in Morgan County to Elijah Franklin Hensley and Ruby Ethel Segars Hensley. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and later served in the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from Hayes/Pemco in Birmingham and attended Bible Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dena Fay Hensley of Hartselle; a son, Randy Hensley of Hartselle; a daughter, Rita Roberts and husband Mark of Hartselle; two brothers, F.D. Hensley of Danville and Don Hensley of Trinity; a sister, Clezell Asherbranner of Falkville; four grandchildren, Josh Hensley, Crystal Roberts, Cara Randolph and husband Kurt and Chuck Roberts; and a great-grandchild, Casen Randolph.
Pallbearers were Josh Hensley, Chuck Roberts, Kurt Randolph, Virgil Vest, Wayne Hensley and Chris Hensley. Honorary pallbearers were Earl Vest, Ray Vest, Billy Vest and Steve Hensley.
