Kirby earns doctoral degree

Scott Alan Kirby of Hartselle earned his Ph.D. in environmental engineering from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The formal Ph.D. hooding ceremony was conferred in December. He also has a masters degree in environment engineering and a bachelor of science in civil and environmental engineering. He has doctoral minors in geographic information science and statistics. Kirby is interested in air and water quality work and has experience in atmospheric monitoring and dispersion modeling.
He is employed with Environmental Resource Management in Mobile.
Kirby is the son of Sherman and Ann Kirby of Hartselle and the grandson of Lucille Hall of Hartselle.
He is a 1999 honor graduate of Hartselle High School.
