Man charged with theft

An employee of Advance Auto Parts is accused of stealing from the company.
Ruben Medina Frances, 49, of 300 Gilchrist Street in Hartselle, is charged with theft of property in the second degree.
A manager from Advance Auto Parts in Decatur had reported theft of $1,659 from the business. Frances was later connected to the theft and arrested.
He is being held on $2,500 bond.
