Funeral for Niecie Chenault Teague, 92, of Falkville will be Thursday (today), Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Royce Teague officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Teague died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born February 16, 1916, in Lawrence County to Thomas Jefferson Chenault and Gertrude Hattie Lou Stephenson Chenault. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jethro Buford Teague; her parents; a sister, Christine Smith and four brothers, Kyle Chenault, Howard Chenault, Donnie Chenault and Ray Chenault.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Brown Legg of Hartselle; a brother, Reuel Chenault of Danville; a sister, Mabel Johnson of Decatur; a grandson, Danny Brown of Jackson, Georgia; a granddaughter, Dana Brown of Hartselle and five great-grandchildren, Brian Hayes, Elizabeth Hayes, Emily Hayes, Erin Brown and Laura Brown.
Pallbearers will be Brian Hayes, Donnie Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Terry Johnson, Jeff Johnson and Joey Johnson.
