Funeral for Quinton Grant Vickery, 84, of Somerville was Saturday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Van Moore officiating.
Burial was in Providence Cemetery.
Mr. Vickery died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at his residence. He was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Lawrence County to William David Vickery and Ertha Elizabeth Scoggins Vickery. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Arab. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Pat Vickery, Mack Vickery, Robert Vickery and Dave Vickery.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Onaria Gail Vickery; a son, Michael Vickery and wife Kathy; a daughter, Starla Vickery; a stepdaughter, Joyce Marie Curtis; a brother, Brice Vickery; a sister, Willema Clark; and two grandchildren, Courtney G. Vickery and Adam B. Vickery.
Pallbearers were Hugh McGhee, Glen Bearden, Jeff Leak, Kenny Thomas, Randy Monks, Howard Smith and Joe Mosley.
