Funeral for Delia Omerlean Hopper, 85, of Falkville was Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. at Eva Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Robinson, Gary Driver and Raymond Stinson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Eva.
Mrs. Hopper died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Falkville Healthcare Center. She was born Nov. 7, 1923, in Morgan County to George Washington Drinkard and Delia Alin Hudgins. She was a long-time member of Eva Baptist Church and loved helping people and taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ezra Drinkard; and six sisters, Savannah Drinkard, Martha Fortenberry, Annie Ellenburg, Vestia Drinkard, Minnie Drinkard and Aline Drinkard.
She is survived by a son, Glenn Hopper and wife Sharon of Hartselle; a daughter, Carol Newman and husband Ted of Eva; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
