Funeral for Dickey Glenn Nickens, 52, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Lancaster officiating
A military graveside service followed at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Nickens died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1956, in Morgan County to Horace and Alberta Ferguson Nickens. He was a graduate of Morgan County High School, was retired from the Alabama Army National Guard and was a former employee of Filter Technology. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Alberta Nickens of Hartselle; two brothers, Rickey Stan Nickens of Hartselle and Trevor Charm Nickens and wife Beth of Danville; three sisters, Barbara Ellen Towles of Ocala, Fla., Brenda Gail Miller and husband Nickey of Arab and Patricia Ann Hensley and husband Ricky of Hartselle; six nephews; three nieces; and special nephew, Brayden Geoffrey Nickens.
Pallbearers were nephews and family friends.
