Funeral for Robert Sams, 84, of Falkville was Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Earnest Morris and Morris Norton officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mr. Sams died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at his residence. He was born May 14, 1924, in Morgan County to Felix Sams and Cordie Lucille Speigel Sams. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a retired school bus driver and a member of Vinemont Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Vinson Sams; a sister, Mattie Ruth Henderson; and his parents.
He is survived by three daughters, Betty Harris and husband Clarence and Iwanna Amrein all of Falkville, Linda Grisham and husband Gorman of Decatur; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ryan Grisham, Chase Grisham, Maxwell Amrein, Jonathan Tippett, Kyle Williams and Guy Hollaway, Jr.
