Funeral for S/Sgt. Jimmy Lynn King, 39, of Danville was Saturday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. at Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Salter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. King died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009. He was born October 21, 1969, in Morgan County to Jimmy King and Janet White King. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves assigned to the 4th of the 108th Chemical Battalion in Anniston. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant and was an instructor in his military unit.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy King and stepmother Suzanne of Hartselle; his mother, Janet White King of Danville and a sister, Kim King of Danville.
Pallbearers were members of his Army Reserve Unit.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve Poole, Mickey Poole, Jason Duskin, Perry White, Matt Jones and Brandon Standridge.
