Funeral for Looney Holmes, 95, of Eva was Tues., Feb. 17, at 2 p.m., at Moss-Service Funeral Home in Cullman with the Rev. Gary Peebles officiating.
Burial was in Enon Cemetery.
Mr. Holmes died Sat., Feb. 14, 2009, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 16, 1913, in Alabama to L.B. Holmes and Julia Ray Holmes. He was a farmer.
He is survived by a daughter, Dianne Hartwig of Eva; two sons Charles Holmes of Cullman and Carlos Holmes of Eva; a sister, Lorean Brown of Eva; three grandsons, Matt and Jake Holmes and Evan Hartwig; and four great-grandsons, Matthew and Mason Holmes, Xarder Hartwig and Tristen Weathers.
