Funeral for Estelle Wray Palmer, 87, of Hartselle was Monday, Feb. 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Brown officiating.
Burial was in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Palmer died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 22, 1921, in Morgan County to Charlie Wray and Julia Ann Lemmons Wray. She was a member of the Somerville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reese Palmer; two sons, Charles R. Palmer and Pervis J. Palmer; a daughter, Margaret Ann Palmer; a son-in-law, William H. Daniel; two brothers, Maylan Wray and Carl Wray; a sister, Inez Lancaster; and her parents. The family would like to thank Alacare Hospice and her doctor, Dr. Reddy.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby R. Palmer and wife Jean of Hartselle and Earl G. Palmer and wife Donna of Priceville; a daughter, Wanda G. Palmer Daniel of Trinity; four sisters, Louise Woodard Campbell and husband Jim of Eva, Dortha Hall and Elsie Stringer and husband I.C. “Shorty”, all of Hartselle and Edna Byrd and husband Alvin of Fairview; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were friends and family.
