Funeral for Hal D. Blan-kenship, 68, of Danville was Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Cha-pel with the Revs. Erwin Coffey and C.G Reding officiating.
A graveside service was Wednesday, Feb. 25, at noon at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Cleveland, Tenn.
Mr. Blankenship died Sat., Feb. 21, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center, He was born Sept. 25, 1940, in Lawrence County to Aulton David Blankenship and Vera Mable Segars Blankenship. A Baptist, he was employed as a supervisor at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for 41 years. He formerly owned Double B Mobile Home Ranch and was a member of the Good Sams Motor Club. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Long Blankenship of Danville; a daughter, Tammy Javone Blankenship Holt and husband Michael Ray of Cleveland, Tenn.; a sister, JoAnn B. Fowler of Wills Point, Tex.; two grandchildren, Christy Tamara Holt and Chance Andrew Holt, both of Cleveland, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Junior Flanningin, Martin Millsap, Gary Hackett, David Tate and Larry Ricks.
