A graveside service for Dorothy Dell Hendrix, 87, of Lacey’s Spring was Monday, Mar. 9, at 3 p.m. at Union Grove Cemetery with Radford Pritchet officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hendrix died Sunday, Mar. 8, 2009. She was born February 16, 1922, to James Edgemon and Grace Lipscomb Edgemon. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Benton of Lacey’s Spring; a son, James “Jimmie” Hendrix of Morgan City; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral for James Jaquess, 83, of Somerville will be Thursday (today), Mar. 12, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph McCollum officiating.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Jaquess died Monday, Mar. 9, 2009, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born December 29, 1925 in Morgan County to Dee Jaquess and Anna Conley Jaquess.
He was a Baptist and a loving father. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Jaquess of Somerville; a son, Michael Jaquess of Somerville; two daughters, Sharon Heath of Peoria, Ill. and Lisa Jaquess of Falkville; a brother, Clarence Jaquess and wife Jo Ann of Hartselle; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
