Funeral for Jimmie Tient McQuary, 69, of Decatur was Saturday, Mar. 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Curtis Sanders officiating.
Mr. McQuary died Tuesday, Mar. 10, 2009, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1939, in Kentucky to Edgar Singleton and Marie Singleton. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry McQuary; his parents; and a son, Shannon McQuary.
He is survived by a daughter, Kandice Fortner and husband Eric of Decatur; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer McQuary of Hartselle; a sister, Sandy Singleton of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Kayla Kilpatric, Jessica McQuary, Samantha McQuary, Maison McQuary and Xain Fortner.
