By By Clif Knight, Hartselle Enquirer
The Morgan County Commission on Aging has a program to help qualified individuals who can’t afford the prescription medications they need.
The program is called SeniorRx Partnership for Medications Access. Offering free help on prescriptions, diabetic supplies and liquid supplements, it is administered by the Alabama Department of Senior Services and coordinated locally by the North-Central Alabama Regional Council of Governments ‘(NARCOG) Agency on Aging. Providing services under NARCOG are the Commissions on Aging in Morgan, Lawrence and Cullman Counties. Sue Eckles coordinates the program in Morgan County. While the program is not new to some Morgan County residents, it may be to others, according to Eckles.
Eckles office is in the Morgan County Area Transportation Services Building in Decatur and her telephone number is 351-4653.
