Pine Hill Day Camp reopens

Pine Hill Day Camp in Somerville is making plans to reopen this summer under the ownership and management of Centers for the Developmentally Disabled of North Alabama (CDD), according to Brad Romine, CEO.
The 122-acre facility was purchased by CDD in 2007 and a camp was held last year with less than anticipated enrollment.
CDD is a private, nonprofit organization with offices in Huntsville. It contracts with the state to offer speech and physical therapy, as well as employment opportunities, at no cost to families dealing with physical, mental and developmental disabilities.
