Funeral for Buford Ray Bowling, 73, of Hartselle was Thursday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Bass officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Cemetery.
Mr. Bowling died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born January 6, 1936, in Morgan County to Frank Buford Bowling and Ruby Lillion Lawrence Bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gail Sullivan Bowling of Hartselle; two sons, Mike Bowling of Hartselle and Keith Bowling of Belton, S.C.; two daughters, Lavonne Osborne of Vinemont and Teressa Williams of Trinity; a brother, Larry Bowling of Hartselle; four sisters, Reba Carden and Carol Ryan, both of Decatur, Betty Howell of Hartselle and Shirley Holt of Somerville; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
