Girodo signs with Mississippi State

Hartselle senior Chad Girodo will join current teammate Luke Bole on the pitching staff at Mississippi State next season.
Girodo signed a national letter-of-intent with the Bulldogs last week as Hartselle prepared to open the state baseball playoffs.
Girodo is 12-1 this season for the Tigers with an earned run average of just 0.50. He has allowed just four earned runs all season.
The Hartselle lefty is the third pitcher signed by the Bulldogs out of Alabama. Bole and Benjamin Russell senior Kendall Graveman signed with Mississippi State in February.
Girodo wanted the opportunity to pitch in the Southeastern Conference and felt comfortable with the Bulldogs’ baseball staff.
Girodo’s development over the past two seasons has led to the program reaching the semifinals last year.
Girodo finished with an 8-5 record last season with an ERA of 1.93.
