The grounds of the Morgan County Courthouse will be enlarged in the near future to create additional parking, included more handicapped spaces.
The changes were approved at the April 14 meeting of the Morgan County Commission.
Chairman John Glasscock was authorized to secure a landscape architect’s rendering for the development of a parking lot addition on county-owned property fronting Davis Street. District 1 Commissioner Jeff Clark, who is coordinating the project, said county equipment and operators would be used to demolish and remove the building and a conrete foundation and parking deck after a plan is submitted and approved.
