Edward Dwayne ‘Heavy’ Sain

Funeral for Edward Dwayne “Heavy” Sain, 82, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), April 30, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steven Sain and Charles Forman officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Sain died Monday, April 27, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Sain was born November 11, 1926, in Coffee County, Tenn. to John Casper Sain and Josie Anderson Sain. He was a self-employed dairy farmer and a WWII veteran who served in the Army Air Corps as a military policeman. He served at the only atomic weapons base in the world and was personally selected for this assignment. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisey Mae Sain.
He is survived by four sons, Steven Sain of Florence, Stanley Sain and Mark Sain, both of Hartselle, and Larry Sain of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Joe Sain of Decatur and Leo Sain of Summitville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Markus Sain, Michael Sain, Skylar Sain, Brandon Smith, Aaron Smith and Mike Large.
