Estes named Merit Scholar winner

Hartselle High School’s Kaleb Estes has been named one of the nation’s National Merit Scholars.
Estes, who hopes to study medical research, received a $2,500 scholarship from the National Merit Scholarship Corp.
The awards were based on standardized testing scores, academic record, volunteer work and essays.
