Juveniles nabbed for burglary

Two juveniles were arrested last week in connection with the attempted burglary of a local farm and home center.
Sheriff Greg Bartlett said deputies arrested a pair of juveniles May 1 on charges of attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Around 3 a.m. that morning, deputies were making a routine check in Pumpkin Center when they noticed an unusual light on at the Pumpkin Center Farm and Home Supply. He then saw two men running from the scene.
The deputy pursued and captured one of the suspects, a 17-year-old male, and discovered the light was coming from a window that had been previously boarded up with plywood. The wood had been pried off the window.
Deputies found a pickup truck across from the store and traced its ownership, locating the second suspect.
The suspect, a 17-year-old male, was brought back to the scene by his parents.
Deputies said neither suspect entered the store and nothing was taken.
Both suspects will be charged in juvenile court and were released to their parents.
