Funeral for Mattie Aurelia White, 92, of Danville was Thursday, May 7, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Larry Janes and Rodger White officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. White died Monday, May 4, 2009. She was born March 15, 1917, in Morgan County to William Edward White and Mary Emily Thomason White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest ‘Wild Bill’ White.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty Jean Simmons and Patricia Hagood, both of Moulton, Judy Williams of Danville and Mary Smothers of Hartselle; four sons, Ronnie White and Frank White, both of Hartselle, Rodger White of Danville and Harry White of Athens; a brother, Alfred White of Hartselle; a sister, Vida Royer of Decatur; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Vondal White, Harold Haygood, Howard Haygood, Stephen White, Tim Deion White, Jamie White, Mark Lovett, John Williams, Christopher Smothers and Harley Smothers.
