Taylor wins Wheeler runoff

Milton Taylor defeated Charles Black with 2,644 votes, or 66.7% percent, to Black’s 1,318 votes, or 33.3 percent to win a post on the Joe Wheeler EMC Board of Trustees. The runoff race was held last weekend.
After the election results were announced, the board convened a reorganizational meeting to seat Taylor and elect new officers for the next year. O.B. Owens was elected president. Shirley Livingston was elected vice president and Ricky Knouff was elected secretary-treasurer.
