Glassco, Summerford wed
Deeanna Faith Glassco of Hartselle and Chad Thomas Summerford of Falkville were married March 14, 2009, at Fairview Church of God in Falkville.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Glassco of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Summerford of Falkville.
The Rev. Milan Dekich performed the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless satin gown featuring prin-cess lines and a semi-cathedral train. The design was accented with re-em-broidered lace, pearls and sequins.
She wore a white veil with a lace outline and carried a bouquet of lilies, ro-
ses and other spring flowers in bright colors.
Beth Glassco served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Julie Wilkins, Megan Bartlett, Jenn Pressley, Jessie Liv-ingston, Shannon Coggins and Grace Ashley.
Flower girls were Carlie Wilkins, Kylee Howell and Kinley Howell.
Tom Summerford served as best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Trey Summerford, Josh Wilkins, Alan Sum- merford, Brett Glassco, Whit Pressley and Chris Free.
Braxton Lee and Grayson Lee were ring bearers.
Josh Wilkins and Alan Summerford served as candle lighters
Vocalists were Monica Higginbotham, Chris and Kelly McMurray, Mike Thompson and Josh Hardin.
Sound was provided by Ed Henry.
Sarah Holmes directed the wedding.
A reception followed at the church.
The bride’s table featured a three-tier cake done in white with a wide black ribbon around each layer. On top of each black ribbon was a lime green polka-dotted ribbon.
A silver “S” was the topper. The cake sat on a silver base surrounded by flowers and greenery.
The groom’s cake was a chocolate two-tier cake with an “A” on one layer and “Roll Tide” on the other topped by a crystal elephant.
The cake sat on a sculpted mirror. The table was covered with a houndstooth tablecloth and the table featured other Alabama items.
Reception assistants were Jan Washam, Shelba Laney, Renee Hardin, Melee Laney, Kathy Summerford, Marsha Summerford, Johnna Watts, April Jones, April Free, Brenda Black and Katherine Landers.
Ginger Wood was guest book attendant.
The groom’s second-grade class at Danville-Neel Elementary School distributed wedding fav- vors. The bride’s 4-year-old kindergarten class at Fairview Church of God passed out bubbles.
Following a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple resides in Falkville.
