Hearing set on Highway 36 project

The Alabama Department of Transportation announced this week a public hearing on the proposed widening and relocation of State Highway 36 from Hammitt Street to Interstate 65.
The informal meeting will be conducted at Hartselle City Hall Auditorium June 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. Preliminary maps and tentative schedules prepared for the project will be available for review.
The purpose of the hearing is to give interested parties an opportunity to provide input regarding the project and share their views and comments with respect to potential impacts. City officials and ALDOT representatives will be available to answer any questions relative to the project.
