Meth lab found in Hartselle

The discovery of a clandestine methamphetamine lab in Hartselle led to the arrest of seven people.
Sheriff Greg Bartlett said the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division was attempting to serve a warrant at 198 Lockhart Road in Hartselle when they discovered a meth lab. Seven people were at the home and six were eventually charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and one for possession of a controlled substance.
Charged with unlawful manufacturing were James Earl Wekks, 61; Shelia Smith Harper, 47; Gary Dewayne Jones, 24; Candi Street, 35; Brandon Michael Jones, 28; and Melissa Tucker Carroll, 46. Patrick Wade Durbin was arrested for the unlawful possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine. Durbin is being held on a $2500 bond and a hold for being on probation with no bond. The other six are being held in the Morgan County Jail on a $100,000 bond
