Funeral for Azzlee Runge Eargle, 88, of Falkville was Sunday, June 14, at 2 p.m. at the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Laverie Buckelew and Kenneth Reeves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Eargle died Friday, June 12, 2009, at her residence. She was born May 22, 1921, in Cullman County to Charner and Minnie Bell Runge. She was a homemaker and devoted mother and mamaw. She was a member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Avery Eargle Sr.; a daughter, Guenell Livingston; a granddaughter, Debra Reeves; five brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Basil Eargle and wife Pearlena, Mike Eargle and wife Ramona and Jeffery Eargle, all of Falkville; three daughters, Dean Morgan and husband Ed of Falkville, Beverly Bates and husband Danny of Hartselle and Lynette Graham and husband Jerry of Vinemont; a brother, Durall Runge of Falkville; a sister, Beulah Prothro of Falkville; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Danny Bates, Jimmy Kennedy, Ronnie Ryan, Dion Speegle, Scott Sanders and Charlie Morgan.
