Funeral for Ben Segars, 73, of Hartselle was Monday, July 6, at 4 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Segars officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Segars died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at his residence. He was born October 16, 1935, in Morgan County to Earnest Segars and Bertha May Turner Segars. He was retired from the United States Army and had served in Vietnam. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carrie Magnum.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Lee “Billie” Segars; a son, Reggie Lamar Segars of Hartselle; a daughter, Rhonda Lee Childers of Trinity; two brothers, Don Neal Segars of Somerville and Rex Ellis Segars of Huntsville; two sisters, Anna Lee Stough and Earline Bennett, both of Hartselle; and three grandchildren.
