Funeral for Peggy Jean Staples, 67, of Cullman, was Friday, July 3, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating.
Burial was in Cullman City Cemetery.
Mrs. Staples died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Thursday, July 2, 1942, in Morgan County to Felix Melvin Armstrong and Mary Lavern Hogan Armstrong. She was a member of the Hartselle First United Methodist Church. She and her husband Bobby moved to Virginia in 1985 and had just recently moved back home to Cullman.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bobby G. Staples of Cullman; two sisters, Barbara Hill and husband Leon of Moulton and Judy Schultz and husband Benes of Battleground; a nephew, Phillip Hill and wife Rhonda; four nieces, Vickie Shadden and husband Steve, Tammy Ray and husband Eugene, Tracy Powell and husband Steve and Tammy Ray and husband Joe; four great-nephews; four great-nieces; and close friends, Charles and Brenda Quattlebaum.
Pallbearers were Charles Quattlebaum, Eugene Ray, Steve Powell, Joe Vincent, Phillip Hill and Austin Ray.
