A graveside service for Bette V. Springer, 84, of Decatur was Sunday, July 12, at 4:30 p.m. at Richardson Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Herston officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Springer died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born July 12, 1924, in Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Avon Troy Springer.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheri Holland Willits of Decatur; three grandchildren, Chris, Scott and Lyle Willits; and three great-grandchildren, Megan, Sarah and Madeleina Willits.
