Long part of People to People

Emme Long, a student at Hartselle High School, will join a select group of students representing their schools, communities and country as People to People Student Leaders. Long has been accepted into the People to People Leadership Summit at Harvard University in Boston, Mass., summer of 2010. People to People student leaders complete an academically rigorous program focused on leadership development and global awareness. Long was nominated and accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement, and leadership potential.
The People to People Leadership Summits bring together outstanding student leaders from around the globe to focus on leadership, team building community service, college admissions, and professional aspirations. Students learn how to effectively make a difference in their communities, develop skills to help them lead tomorrow’s world and build their college resumes, with the chance to earn academic or service-learning credit.
