Funeral for Pauline Darnell Hammack Nix, 77, of Decatur was Sunday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.T. Copeland Jr. officiating.
Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery in Somerville.
Mrs. Nix died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at her residence. She was born July 3, 1932, in Decatur to James “Jim” Monroe Darnell and Martha Ann Hopkins Darnell. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Buddy Hammack and Charles Nix; a daughter, Connie Diane Hammack; her parents; two sisters, Lois Scott and Gladys Prince; and a brother, James Darnell.
She is survived by a son, Chuck Nix of Decatur; a daughter, Polly Coker of Decatur; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scott Fuller, Nick Hill, Steven Britt, Darrell Cockrel, Julian Carter and Corey Hart.
