Funeral for Randy Brooker, 54, of Danville was Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Danville.
Mr. Brooker died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at his residence.
He was born January 8, 1955, in Shelby County to Rexford Alvin Brooker and Alma Rutherford Brooker.
He moved to Alabama in 1987 and married Donna Hughes in August, 1988. He opened his own construction company in 1988.
He was a friend to anyone he met and loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Troy Lindsey; and a brother, Timmy Brooker.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Hughes Lindsey Brooker of Danville; a son, Chris Lindsey of Danville; two daughters, Chrisi Brooker Parsons of Decatur and Rachel Brooker Maddox of Melbourne, Fla.; his mother, Alma Rutherford Brooker of Alabaster; two brothers, Rodney Brooker and wife Pam and Tommy Brooker and wife Jo, all of Alabaster; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Moebes, Seth Hughes, Roddy Brooker, Jonathon Vinzant, Mike Smith and Colt Brooker.
