Funeral for Cora Lee Bowling Fowler, 88, of Union Hill will be Friday, July 31, at 2 p.m. at the Church of God Morgan City with Roland Cornwell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, from 6 to 9 p. m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mrs. Fowler died Tuesday, July 28, 2009. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of the Church of God Morgan City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Willis Fowler; her parents, Luther Walter and Ella Lee Lawrence Bowling; two brothers, Walter Carl Bowling and Glenn Lawrence Bowling; two sisters, Carrie Mae Smallwood Garrison and Grace Ella Fowler; and a daughter-in-law, Becky Fowler.
She is survived by a son, Paul Kenneth Fowler and wife Deborah; two daughters, Melba Ann Haga and husband Bobby and Sheron Jane Corl and husband David; a brother, Marvin Britain Bowling; two sisters, Bessie Ruth Abercrombie Junkins and Lutherene Wilma Greenhaw; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
