Funeral for John David Burch Jr., 74, of Hartselle was Tuesday, July 28, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating.
Burial was in Shoal Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Burch died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at his residence. He was born July 6, 1935, in Morgan County to John David Burch Sr. and Mary Savannah Lemley Burch. He worked as a millwright at Davis and Daniels Construction. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Clemons Burch, five brothers, Aubry, Otis, Dois, Sherman and Herman Burch; and two sisters, Ruby Owens and Imojean Thompson.
He is survived by three sons, Keith Burch, Kraig Burch and Kerry Burch, all of Hartselle; two daughters, Karen Burch Bagwell of Hartselle and Kaye Burch Simoneaux of Altoona; four sisters, Helen Fuller of Decatur, Eula Vee Vaughn of Kentucky, Janice Nations of Hartselle and Judy Huddleston of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
