Funeral for Betty Sue Brock, 74, of Hartselle was Friday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lillian Eddleman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Brock died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born September 15, 1934, in Tennessee to John Orr and Bonnie Collins Orr. She was a Christian mother and wife, a member of Salem United Methodist Church and she loved flowers.
She is survived by a son, J. Shane Brock of Decatur; a daughter, Jenny Lynn Meares of Hartselle; two brothers, Teddy Orr of Hampton, Tenn. and Eddy Orr of Elizabethton, Tenn.; a sister, Patsey Miller of Harrisburg, N. C.; five grandchildren, Zach Brock, E.J. Smith and wife Jennifer; Merdith Anderson, Sarah Meares and Trey Meares; and a great-grandchild, Brock Meares.
In leiu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
