Seminar aims to help applicants
By Staff
A workshop for individuals seeking financial aid for higher education will be offered at Wallace State Community College Aug. 23 from 2:30 – 4 p.m. in Room 610 of the Bailey Center.
Participants will learn how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and receive information about other financial aid resources and requirements. Attendees are asked to bring their current federal tax return form, which will help them begin the process of applying for financial aid.
The FAFSA is the form used by virtually all two and four-year colleges and universities for the awarding of federal student aid and most state and college aid. It can be submitted online, and is accessible on the Financial Aid page of the Wallace State web site, or by visiting www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Training sessions for principals and counselors will be conducted at the Morgan County Board of Education on Aug. 25.
For more information about the workshop, contact LaDonna Allen, Director of Retention, at 352-8071. To learn more about financial aid at Wallace State, visit wallacestate.edu. Registration for fall semester classes at Wallace State continues through Aug. 25.
Classes begin Aug. 19.
