Shivers earns national honor

Brewer High School graduate John Shivers, a senior guard at Millsaps College, was named to the D3football.com Preseason All-American team.
Shivers is the first Major in school history to earn first team honors in the preseason awards list.
The award was the third for Shivers during the off-season. He also earned preseason All-American honors from Lindy’s Magazine and Consensus Draft Services.
Millsaps has had five D3football.com All-Americans in school history.
