Morine Oglesby Borden McCafferty

Funeral for Morine Oglesby Borden McCafferty, 87, of Decatur was Friday, August 21, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Robert Newman, Paul Lombard and Carl Maynard officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. McCafferty died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1922 in Waveland, Ark., to James Franklin Oglesby and Ola Beatrice Robins Oglesby. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jones Daniel Borden and two sons, Daniel Borden and Arlin Borden. She was a member of Oak Park Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Eroy “Papa” McCafferty of Decatur; nine daughters, Ola Hill and husband Ray and Patricia Rotton and husband Larry, all of Trinity, Mae Dean Hall and husband Walter of Hartselle, Patsy Posey and husband Tom of Decatur, Linda Lee and husband Steve of Somerville, Gail Quasebarth and husband Bill of Eclectic, Anita Clark and husband Bryan of Athens, Betty Ruth Hughes and husband Rick of Soddy Daisy, Tenn. and Elizabeth Bass of Athens; two stepchildren, Don McCafferty and wife Gail of Rogersville and Janet Smith and husband Paul of Athens; two sisters, Melba Dugger of Priceville and Wanda Howard of Clanton; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Danny Hill, Benjamin Rotton, Tim Hall, Jackie Shannon Jett, Marty Posey, Eugene Ledbetter, Hestin Clark and Joshua Hughes.
