Alexander, Moss wed
Crystal Marie Alexander of Hartselle and Austin James Moss of Nashville, Tenn. were married June 25, 2009, at noon at Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville, Tenn.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Virginia Alexander of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Ray and Sharon Moss of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Rev. Ray Moss, father of the groom, officiated at the ceremony.
The outside of the church was white with black accents accompanied by tall arched doors with white hydrangea wreaths hung on them. Inside was white with maroon aisle and black and white floor. Pew markers were green with white flowers and bows. A stained glass baptistery displayed a large green and white flower arrangement. Archways were lit with candles. Silver cross and unity candles decorated the altar.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride chose a formal designer gown of white silk satin. The strapless gown featured a sweetheart bodice of wrapped rusching. The rusching continued over the natural waistline centered at the hipline. The slim fitting sheath skirt flared gently at the knee and swept to a semi-cathedral train.
Her knee length veil of imported French tulle’ was rimmed with seed beads and broken bugle beads. It was held by a bridal bandeau of freshwater pearls, rhinestones and Arora crystal stones.
The bride carried a large bouquet of light blue hydrangeas.
Cassie Nickens, sister of the bride, of Huntsville, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were MArah Martin of Destin, Fla., Emilee Macdonald of Atlanta, Ga., Jayme Parmakian of Nashville, Tenn., Lauren Bookman of Alexandria, Va. and Janna Pogue of Nashville, Tenn.
Bridesmaids wore knee length black dresses with rusching at the top and a flowing skirt.
They carried bouquets of light blue hydrangeas.
Savannah Moss, the groom’s niece, of Turlock, Ca., was flower girl. Cambell Martin, son of bridesmaids Marah Martin, of Destin, Fla., was ring bearer.
Josh Moss, the groom’s brother, of Turlock, Ca., was best man. Groomsmen were Mac Phen of Nashville, Tenn., Mike Hickerson of Nashville, Tenn., Jonathan Davis of Nashville, Tenn., Blake McCray of Nashville, Tenn. and Justin Farris of Nashville, Tenn.
Katie Moss and Mattie Alexander, the groom’s cousins, attended the guest books.
Music was provided by Michael Graham on organ and Eddie Harrison on piano. Eddie and Jessica Harrison were vocalists.
A reception was held at Mere Bulles immediately following ceremony.
The bride’s cake was round with three tiers and had silver monogram topper. the cake’s icing was champagne colored with the design in white mimicking her china pattern. The cake’s flavor alternated each layer with strawberry and almond. Light blue hydrangeas adorned the table along with monogrammed napkins and silver serving pieces.
The groom’s cake was a square two-tier almond flavored cake with whipped chocolate icing. A large cream-colored golf ball accented the top with greenery around it. The bottom was embellished with greenery and strawberries.
Marion Greenlee was wedding director.
After a wedding trip to Sandal’s Grande Antigua, the couple will reside in Nashville, Tenn.

Collins, McPhillips wed
Tracie Ryan Collins of Decatur and Joseph Brian McPhillips of Cullman were married July 25, 2009, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
The Reverend Dr. Larry Little performed the 6 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Tom and Terri Collins of Decatur and John and Linda McPhillips of Cullman.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white lace trumpet gown with tulle overlay and beaded lace appliqu/s. It featured an empire waist with a crystal brooch and a chapel train. She wore a romantic fingertip Alencon lace veil, edged in scalloped appliqu/ with pearls and beads. She carried a contemporary bouquet of white hydrangeas and roses, accented with purple Lisianthus and looped with tie leaves.
Tricia Lane Collins, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor and Meredith Justice Smith of Birmingham, the bride’s cousin, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Anna Wickstrom and Maleah Dunham, both of Birmingham, Jennifer Skinner Crow of Maumelle, Ark., Haley Watkins, of Austin, Tex. and Kate Sanders of Atlanta, Ga. Flower girl was Addison McPhillips, the groom’s niece.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers, Jay McPhillips, of Tuscaloosa, and John McPhillips, of Cullman, Brandon Lee, Joseph Fisher, and Justin Britt, all of Cullman and Taylor Collins, brother of the bride, of Decatur.
Organist Brenda Berry-man, guitarist Tom Collins and vocalist John Mc-Phillips Jr. provided the ceremony’s music. Taylor and Tricia Collins, brother and sister of the bride and Jay McPhillips, brother of the groom, read scripture.
Handing out wedding programs were Haley Jordan of Decatur and Emily and Makayla Peters of Dothan.
Debi Swaney of Hous-ton served as wedding director. A reception followed at Sykes Place.
Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Hartselle.
