Funeral for Carol Beaver, 67, of Hartselle, was Wednesday, September 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with John Brock officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Beaver died Monday, August 31, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born August 23, 1942, in Chattanooga, Tenn. to Lewis Albert Downs and Vera Earcille McBay Downs. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hartselle.
She is survived by her husband, William J. “Bill” Beaver of Hartselle; a son, Anthony R. “Tony” Beaver of Athens; a daughter, Angela Carol “Angie” Terry of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Casey and Cody Terry and Alex Beaver; six brothers, Gene Downs of San Antonio, Tex., Stanley “Doc” Downs, Jimmy Downs, Robin Downs and Danny Downs, all of Athens and Alton Downs of Decatur; and a sister, Ann Pennington of Cleveland, Ohio.
Pallbearers were Casey Terry, Stanley Downs, Will Downs, Jason Downs, David McKowen and Andrew McKowen.
Honorary pallbearers were Sam Gugliotta, Elmer Pruitt, Charlie Riner, Jim Riner, Casey Laborde, James Laborde, Walter McKowen, Stephen Beaver, Nic Vogle, Clint Downs and Nathaniel Downs.
