Funeral for Garland R. Driver, 72, of Hartselle was Saturday, August 29, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Driver officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Hartselle.
Mr. Driver died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at his residence. He was born May 14, 1937, in Jefferson County to William Delone Driver and Tennie Lou Engle Driver. He was a member of the Masons and the DAV. He attended New Center Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Clois Driver of Hartselle; a son, Michael Driver and wife Bernie of Hartselle; a granddaughter, Andraya Driver of Hartselle; a grandson, Robert Estes LCPL USMC of Hartselle; two brothers, Charles Driver of Hartselle and Vertis Driver of Muscle Shoals; a sister, Elaine Porter of Tyrone, Ga.; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers were Ricky Driver, Mitchell Driver, Gary Hawkins, Evan Driver, Edwin Burrows and Jr. Porter.
