Funeral for Rita Fran Crowe Smith, 56, of Somerville, was Saturday, September 5, at 11 a.m. at Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church with the Rev. Melvin Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at her residence. She was born February 22, 1953, in Morgan County to Robert Lee Crowe and Mabel Othell Hopkins Crowe. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Timothy Crowe.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Stanley Smith of Somerville; two daughters, Anita Charlene Barber and Andrea Newman and husband Tracy, all of Somerville; five brothers, Robert Crowe and wife Shirene, Charles Crowe and wife Fanada, Larry Joe Crowe and wife Betty, Ricky Crowe and wife Pam and Greg Crowe, all of Somerville; five sisters, Frances Brown and husband Cecil, Brenda Petty and husband Robert, Patty Adams and husband Jerry, Lazelle Smith and husband Norten and Karen Motes, all of Somerville; and a grandchild, Caleb Barbee.
Pallbearers were nephews.
