Funeral for William Edward “Ed” Livingston Sr., 84, of Hartselle, was Friday, September 4, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dewitt Crowe officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery in Hartselle.
Mr. Livingston died Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born October 7, 1924, in Morgan County to Rube Livingston and Audrey Harvel Livingston. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leon Livingston; and a sister, Nell Echols.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Livingston of Hartselle; two sons, Eddie Livingston and wife Brenda of Hartselle and Donnie Livingston and wife Lisa of Arley; four daughters, Kay Steele and husband Sam of Falkville, Audrey Maddock and husband Geoff of England, Melanie Fore and husband Ron of Trinity and Melissa Carnes and husband Bill of Hartselle; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were men of Southwest Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Southwest Baptist Church of Hartselle.
