A memorial service for John Stephen Cook Sr., 57, of Hartselle, was Saturday, September 12, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Cagle and David Melton officiating.
Mr. Cook died Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 2, 1952, in Florida to Carlos Louis Cook and Thelma Watkins Cook. He was a member of Hartselle Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Anita K. Cook of Hartselle; a son, John Stephen Cook Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.; two step-sons, Timothy Nelms of Decatur and Richard Nelms of Hartselle; a daughter, Angie Marlow Cook of St. Louis, Mo.; two step daughters, Rene Nelms of Hartselle and Cindy Nelms of Decatur; his parents, Carlos Louis and Thelma Cook of Hartselle; two brothers, Randall Cook of Cape Coral, Fla. and Michael Cook of Hartselle; and 10 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hartselle Church of the Nazarene.
