Funeral for Lois Barber Weaver, 86, of Hartselle, was Sunday, September 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Brown officiating.
Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Greensboro, N.C.
Mrs. Weaver died Thursday, September 10, 2009, at her residence. She was born June 16, 1923, in North Carolina to Shelton Pernell Barber and Daisy May Barber. She was a Baptist and attended both First Baptist Churches in Greensboro and Hartselle. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son, Baron Lee Weaver of Hughesville, Md.; a daughter, Linda Weaver Vassar of Hartselle; a brother, Doyle Barber of Virginia Beach, Va; three sisters, Josephine Carlton of Tennessee, Fay Sison and Kay Dominici, both of Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Joey Vassar, Bill Hodges, Ryan Moore, James Sellers, Adam Miller, Skylar Evans, Weston Evans and Tyler Vassar.
