Senior safety fair set for Sept. 22

NARCOG, the Area Agency on Aging, is planning its sixth annual Senior Health and Safety Fair Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. – noon. The event ill be held at First Baptist Church on Spring Avenue in Decatur.
The seminar will teach attendees about healthcare resources and services available for seniors.
Exhibitors will provide health information as well as healthcare screenings. Information on applying for help with Medicare premiums will be the focus of this year’s event.
Glaucoma screenings will be provided by the Alabama Lion’s Sight Conservation Association and Dr. Laron Hardy will present “Arthritis and the Cervical Spine.” Lunch will be provided for the first 300 seniors attending.
