Hartselle volleyball continues hot streak

Cory Livingston’s 21-kill performance helped send Hartselle to wins over Whitesburg Christian and Athens in a recent tri-match.
The Lady Tigers beat Whitesburg Christian 25-11, 25-11 and Athens 25-8, 25-19, 25-11.
Livingston also had 16 digs, two aces and a block in the wins.
Alex Holmes finished with 18 assists, 12 kills, two blocks and seven digs. Olivia Golden had 12 kills, 18 assists, five aces and 12 digs for Hartselle.
Kelly-Grace Johnson chipped in with four kills, three aces, four blocks and a dig, while Katelyn Hill had four kills, three blocks and two digs.
Callie Miller had four aces, Savannae Howard had a kill and three assists, and Chelsea Bennich had an assist and 16 digs. Savannah Lacey had a kill, an assist and three digs.
Katie Clark had one dig for Hartselle in the sweep of the tri-match last Thursday.
Danville wins pair
Danville beat West Morgan 25-19, 25-20 and Elkmont 25-11, 25-15 to sweep a tri-match at West Morgan.
In the win over West Morgan, Lindsay Simmons had a team-high 12 kills, while Kaitlin Wallace finished with 18 assists for the Lady Hawks.
Lacey Evans had seven digs and four aces in the win, while Morgan Doherty added seven digs.
Tara Wimberley and Simmons had nine kills each in the win over Elkmont, while Wallace recorded a team-high 21 assists.
Wimberley also led the Lady Hawks with five aces, seven digs and two blocks. Lacey Evans added five digs.
Simmons had a team-high 21 kills in the wins, while Wimberley finished with 14 kills and a team-high 13 digs.
Hartselle sweeps matches
Cory Livingston and Alex Holmes finished with 21 and 19 kills respectively to lead Hartselle to wins over Russellville and Austin.
The Lady Tigers beat Russellville 25-15, 25-15, 25-14 in an area match and added a 25-10, 25-12 victory over Austin.
Hartselle improved to 27-4 overall with the wins. The Lady Tigers are now 5-0 in area play.
Holmes had a team-high 21 assists in the two matches. She added seven digs, two aces and two blocks.
Livingston added six aces and 18 digs for the Lady Tigers in the wins.
Olivia Golden had 11 kills, 17 assists, one ace and 11 digs.Chelsea Bennich had 21 digs and Katelyn Hill had three kills, two assists and two blocks.
Savannae Howard had a kill and an assist, while Katie Clark added a block. Callie Miller finished with four aces.
