Funeral for Mrs. Lucy Gower Moon, 88, of Dallas, Ga., formerly of Hartselle and Pleasant View, Tenn., was Wednesday, September 23, at 11 a.m. at Austin &Bell Funeral Home Chapel in Springfield, Tenn., with the Revs. Terry Blair and Jack Redfearn officiating.
Burial was in Good Springs Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Pleasant View.
Mrs. Moon died on Sunday, September 20, 2009. She was born on August 21, 1921, to Robert B. Gower and Madeline Wynn Gower. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Moon; her parents; and two brothers, Roy Gower and Robert Wynn Gower.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Bryant and husband Rick of Dallas, Ga. and Janice Hutzler and husband Roger of Hartselle; a son, Robert H. Moon and wife Arlene of Decatur; a sister, Annabel Gower of Springfield, Tenn.; a brother, William C. Gower and wife Marie of Eustis, Fla.; five grandchildren, Kevin Bryant of Chester, Va., Keith Bryant of Dallas, Ga., Robert P. Moon and Jessica Moon, both of Decatur and Ashley Hutzler of Hartselle; and several nieces and nephews.
